VP R&D
Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the development of advanced cardiovascular implants and technologies.
- Manage R&D teams across engineering, clinical trials, and regulatory affairs.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to preclinical and clinical validation.
- Manage preclinical and clinical trials in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Work closely with regulatory authorities (e.g., FDA, CE) to ensure compliance.
- Develop products that meet international medical device standards (ISO 13485).
- Develop and execute strategic R&D plans
- Manage timelines, budgets and key project milestones to ensure timely execution.
- Establish and maintain collaborations with clinical key opinion leaders, research institutions and technology companies.
Requirements:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering / a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in medical device development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in cardiovascular implant development.
- Excellent proficiency in CAD design, hands-on prototyping and product testing.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and quality standards (ISO, FDA).
- Experience in preclinical and clinical trial management.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Fluent English – excellent written and verbal communication skills.
