Summary

The VP of R&D is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and driving the development of innovative medical device products on a global scale.

This role encompasses technical leadership, strategic planning, team management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet market needs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for product development, including system architecture, software development, algorithm design, and medical imaging.
• Identify and implement emerging technologies to drive innovation and product differentiation.
• Develop and execute R&D strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Build and lead high-performing R&D teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Oversee project management, ensuring timely and budget-adherent delivery of R&D projects.
• Champion software quality assurance practices and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept to commercialization.
• Manage R&D resources, budget, and intellectual property.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of R&D leadership experience in the medical device industry.
• Proven track record of successful product development and commercialization.
• Deep technical expertise in medical device software, algorithms, and imaging.
• Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CE).
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and budgets.
