R&D Lab Manager
Reports to: VP of R&D

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute technical tasks related to product development and verification/validation (V&V) processes.

• Plan and conduct testing for implant hydrodynamics, fatigue resistance, and durability.

• Design, implement, and maintain simulated anatomical models and custom testing setups.

• Develop mechanical test methods; oversee execution and documentation.

• Manage calibration, validation, and general maintenance of lab testing equipment.

• Analyze test results; compile and approve final test reports.

• Manage a team of lab engineers and technicians.

• Coordinate with external vendors for the design, manufacturing, and use of lab fixtures and testing components.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, or biomedical engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related technical or lab-based role.

• Background in medical device development is mandatory (cardiology experience is preferred).

• Experience managing or supervising a team – considered an advantage.

Desired Skills and Tools:

• Mechanical design skills; SolidWorks proficiency required.

• Understanding of fluid mechanics – beneficial.

• Familiarity with ANSYS – preferred.

• Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).

• LabView knowledge – a plus.

• Able to function under design control and within GMP-regulated environments.

Language Requirements:

• English – high proficiency

• Hebrew – fluent
