JOB OVERVIEW
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the R&D Team, leading the development of IOL implants from conception to realization.
Leveraging engineering principles, technical prowess, collaborative teamwork, and creative problem-solving, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality Class III medical devices.
Your responsibilities will encompass researching, designing, testing concepts, and validating solutions for mechanical components, modules, and medical device systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and conceptualize solutions for mechanical components and modules.
- Develop testing methodologies, instrumentation, and jigs. Conduct testing up to Verification and Validation (V&V) independently or according to standards.
- Define product requirements and assess associated risks.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on project plans and delivery commitments.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to medical product development.
- Communicate effectively with external vendors and manufacturing partners.
REQUIREMENTS
- Mechanical Engineering degree (Preference from a reputable university).
- Over 5 years of experience.
- Prior experience in the medical device industry, preferably with implants.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to foster productive relationships and motivate team members. Must possess a positive, can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in technical English.
- Hands-on approach to engineering.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Full-time position based at our office in Petah-Tikva, Israel.
- This role reports directly to the VP R&D.
